What does GATE Bridge do?
Bridge is off everywhere until you switch it on, one tab at a time.

How do I install GATE Bridge?

Add it from the Chrome Web Store
One click. Bridge appears in your extensions; pin it to the toolbar if Chrome tucks it behind the puzzle-piece icon.

Switch it on in the tab you want
Open the page you want your agent in, click the Bridge icon and pick the organization, the agent and the chat. That one tab is now on.

Ask in plain words
Type in the Bridge panel on the page or in your GATE chat. Your agent works in the tab while you watch each step in the panel.

Or let your agent send a link
With Bridge installed, your agent can send a link that switches Bridge on in the tab you open it in, already pointed at that agent and chat. It works once and lasts an hour.

What is GATE Bridge?
GATE Bridge is a free Chrome extension from GATE Intelligence that connects one browser tab to your own GATE agent. You switch Bridge on in the tab you want help in and pick your agent and chat, and the agent can then read that page and act on it: click, fill in forms, submit them and report back in your chat. Every other tab stays off.
How do I install GATE Bridge?
Add GATE Bridge from the Chrome Web Store in one click, then open the page you want help with, click the Bridge icon in the toolbar and pick your organization, agent and chat. That tab is now on. If Bridge is already installed, your GATE agent can also send a one-time link that switches Bridge on in the tab you open it in.
Which browsers does GATE Bridge work in?
GATE Bridge installs from the Chrome Web Store, so it works in Google Chrome and in other Chromium browsers that take Chrome Web Store extensions, such as Microsoft Edge, Brave and Arc. Bridge runs inside the browser you already use, so there is no new browser to switch to and no separate app to install on your computer.
What can my agent do in a tab with GATE Bridge?
In the tab you switch on, your GATE agent can read the page, click buttons and links, fill in fields, press keys such as Enter or Tab, submit forms, go to a new address in that tab, read the browser console and put a screenshot in your chat. Each step it takes shows in the Bridge panel on the page as it happens.
Can GATE Bridge see my other tabs?
No. GATE Bridge works only in the tabs you switch it on in, one at a time, and every other tab stays off, including tabs you open later. Inside a tab that is on, Bridge follows the page wherever you take it, but when you move to another tab your agent stays in the tab you switched on and cannot reach the rest.
Can GATE Bridge read what I type into a page?
Yes, in the tab you switch on. GATE Bridge reads that tab's page as it is, including what is typed into its fields, a password box among them, and it never reaches any other tab. So switch Bridge on in the tab where you want your agent working, and leave it off in tabs like your online bank or your email.
Is it safe to let an AI agent use my browser?
GATE Bridge is built so you stay in control: it works in one tab at a time, page text reaches your agent marked as untrusted so words on a website never read as an instruction from you, every command your agent runs is logged for you to read, and switching the tab off stops your agent at once and cuts that tab's connection.
Is GATE Bridge free?
GATE Bridge costs nothing to install from the Chrome Web Store, and the store keeps it up to date. Switching it on in a tab needs a GATE account, because Bridge connects that tab to your own GATE agent and chat. GATE is invite only right now while GATE Intelligence onboards a small number of businesses.
How is GATE Bridge different from an AI browser?
An AI browser asks you to move to a new browser with its own assistant. GATE Bridge is an extension in the Chrome-family browser you already use, it works only in the tab you switch on, and it connects that tab to your own GATE agent, with the same chat, memory and tools that agent uses for the rest of your business.
