How does GATE control what an AI agent is allowed to do?
Policy is enforced before any model is called, not after: PII redaction, outbound allowlists, spend limits, and human-in-the-loop on high-impact actions. The guardrails sit in front of the model, so an agent cannot execute a high-risk action just because its reasoning led there.
Is there an audit trail of what agents did?
Yes. Every agent action, tool call, and admin event is signed, logged, and exportable to your SIEM, with seven-year signed log retention. When a regulator or your own team asks what the system did on behalf of a user, the record is there.
Is personal data redacted, and is our data used to train models?
PII redaction runs before data is stored, and customer content is never used to train models. GATE does not store the content of connected accounts like Gmail, Calendar, or Drive; the agent reads it live to do a task.
What standards is GATE aligned with?
GATE's controls are designed to align with GDPR, ISO/IEC 42001 (AI management systems), and the AICPA SOC 2 trust services criteria. A signable Data Processing Agreement is available, and the full control map is in the Trust Center.
Can we choose or pin the model an agent uses?
Yes. The core is model-agnostic and the model is chosen per agent, so sensitive routing is yours to control and you are not locked to a single provider.
