GATE Acceptable Use Policy

v1.0

Last updated: 2026-06-01

GATE is powerful. AI tokens move money on your behalf, bots can act on connected accounts, and the VPN routes your traffic through our infrastructure. This policy explains what you cannot do with any of it. Breaking these rules can get your account suspended or terminated, with no refund.

1. General prohibitions

You will not use GATE to:

  • Do anything illegal under Swedish law, EU law, or the law of the country you are using the service from.
  • Create, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We report this to authorities immediately.
  • Build, distribute, or operate malware, ransomware, spyware, or stalkerware.
  • Send spam, run mass unsolicited outreach, or operate phishing campaigns.
  • Harass, threaten, dox, or stalk anyone.
  • Interfere with elections or run coordinated political disinformation campaigns.
  • Design, plan, or facilitate the production of weapons, including biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological weapons.
  • Plan, coordinate, or glorify violence against people.
  • Infringe someone else’s copyright, trademark, or patent rights at scale.

2. VPN-specific abuse

The Fluffer VPN is for personal browsing privacy. It is not for:

  • Scraping copyrighted content at scale for redistribution.
  • Operating a botnet, command-and-control infrastructure, or DDoS sources.
  • Port scanning or vulnerability scanning third-party networks without written authorization.
  • Acting as a spam or phishing relay.
  • Torrenting copyrighted material. We receive DMCA-equivalent complaints from rights holders and from our upstream network providers, and we act on them.

We do not log your browsing traffic, but we do receive abuse complaints tied to exit IPs. A credible abuse complaint can lead to immediate termination of the VPN subscription, with no refund.

3. AI tokens-specific abuse

When you use prepaid AI tokens through GATE you also have to follow the rules of the upstream providers (Anthropic, OpenRouter, z.ai). On top of that:

  • Do not bypass or attempt to bypass model safety systems, jailbreak the models, or use prompt injection to circumvent guardrails.
  • Do not generate prohibited content (CSAM, weapons design, targeted harassment, etc.) regardless of which model you route to.
  • Do not resell raw access to GATE’s token pool. The markup we charge is not a wholesale discount.
  • Do not run scripted abuse that hammers the API to drain credits as a denial-of-service against your own account or anyone else’s.
  • Respect fair-use rate limits on prepaid balances. We publish them in the dashboard and we enforce them.

4. Bot and skill abuse

Bots can use skills like gate-gmail, gate-gcal, gate-apollo, gate-brevo, gate-shopify, gate-slack, and others to act on connected accounts. Those actions touch real people.

  • Do not use connected Gmail, Slack, or Telegram accounts to send unsolicited bulk messages to third parties.
  • Do not use Apollo, Brevo, or other CRM integrations to harvest contact lists for sale or for use outside the connected account’s normal purpose.
  • Do not impersonate anyone, real or fictional, in a way designed to deceive.
  • Do not configure a bot to lie about being human if the person on the other side has asked whether they are talking to a bot.
  • Do not use the bot orchestration system to coordinate harassment, doxing, or threats against any person or group.

If your bot does any of the above, the responsibility is on you, the account holder.

5. Reporting abuse

If you see something on GATE that breaks this policy, email abuse@gate.software with as much detail as you can: URLs, message IDs, timestamps, bot handles, anything that helps us find it.

For child safety reports, also notify your local authorities and, if relevant, NCMEC or the Swedish Polismyndigheten.

6. Enforcement

For most violations the path is: warning, then suspension, then termination.

For severe violations (CSAM, weapons facilitation, active malware operation, active fraud) we skip straight to termination and may notify law enforcement.

For violations triggered by upstream complaints (DMCA on VPN traffic, Anthropic abuse flags on AI calls, Stripe fraud reports) we may suspend immediately to protect our upstream relationships, then investigate.

No refunds for AUP terminations. Prepaid token balances are forfeited. VPN subscriptions are cancelled with no pro-rata refund.

7. Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, reply to the suspension email within 30 days with your side of the story. We will review and respond. We do not promise to reverse the decision, but we do promise to read what you send.
